Performing a FRITZ!Box firmware update

The current firmware version of the FRITZ!Box can be installed quickly and conveniently with the automatic firmware update. For this the FRITZ!Box must be connected to the Internet. If the FRITZ!Box is not currently connected to the Internet, you can perform the firmware update manually.

1. Open the user interface of the FRITZ!Box by entering http://fritz.box in your web browser.
2. Click “Settings”.
3. Then click "Advanced Settings / System / Firmware Update".
4. Click the "Find New Firmware" button. If the "Find New Firmware" button is not displayed, perform a manual firmware update.
5. As soon as the new firmware has been found, click "Start Firmware Update Now".

The "INFO" LED on the FRITZ!Box flashes while the firmware update is being transferred to the FRITZ!Box. Do not interrupt the power supply to the FRITZ!Box while the LED is blinking!
